MR and Gadolinium Contrast Safety and Efficacy

MRI exams play a crucial role in the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases and injuries. Although radiologists are tasked with the responsibility of reviewing MRI results, it is the MR technologist who obtains the best images possible. In an effort to provide both Physicians and Technologists involved in MRI with the most up-to-date information, this 1 day program will communicate updates and trends in MR imaging and GBCA administration, with a focus on various body regions/indications and considerations for best practices to obtain quality images.

1. Identify the indications and benefits of Gadolinium Based Contrast Agents (GBCA) for MRI.
2. Review the major sources of significant risk in MRI.
3. Understand the Safety and Efficacy behind GBCA use.

The content of this CME Symposium is intended for healthcare professionals including Radiologists and Other Physicians, Radiologic and Imaging Nurses, Facility Managers, Technologists, Researchers, and Others.
