Brochure:

MRI exams play a crucial role in the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases and injuries. Although radiologists are tasked with the responsibility of reviewing MRI results, it is the MR technologist who obtains the best images possible. In an effort to provide Technologists involved in MRI with the most up-to-date information, this 1 day program will communicate updates and trends in MR imaging and GBCA administration, with a focus on various body regions/indications and considerations for best practices to obtain quality images.

The content of this CE Symposium is intended for healthcare professionals including Facility Managers, Technologists, Researchers, and Others.

  1. Identify the indications and benefits of Gadolinium Based Contrast Agents (GBCA) for MRI.
  2. Understand the unique safety challenges associated with PET/MRI.
  3. Discuss the most common indications for MR in the Emergency Department setting.
  4. Review the major sources of significant risk in MRI.
  5. Understand the Safety and Efficacy behind GBCA use.

This program has been submitted for approval of 11.0 hours of Category A CE credit as designated by The Society for MR Radiographers & Technologists (SMRT) RCEEM. This activity may be available in multiple formats or from different sponsors. ARRT regulations state that an individual may not repeat a live activity for credit if it was reported in the same or any subsequent biennium.
