Program Description / Statement of Need:

This webinar addresses several needs and brings together experts of imaging with ultrasound-enhanced agents (UEAs). They will discuss topics such as the usefulness of assessing cardiac structure and function with UEAs. Additional protocols, techniques and experiences such as myocardial perfusion will also be explored to improve patient care.

Target Audience:

The content of this webinar is intended for physicians, nurses, sonographers, and other healthcare professionals involved in ultrasound.

Accreditation and CME Credit Statements:

This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through Northwest Imaging Forums, Inc. (NWIF). NWIF is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. NWIF designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses may claim credit for activities submitted for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is designated for up to 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™.

Objectives

1. Review the new CEUS protocols and recommendations of the International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS) - 2022
2. Discuss clinical implementation of the ICUS protocols and recommendations
3. Review and compare the 2017 contrast echo guidelines of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EAC), and the 2014 and 2018 guidelines for UEA best practices of the American Society of Echocardiography.
