The use of ultrasound-enhancing agents (UEAs) in the practice of ultrasound imaging has become an indispensable clinical tool to improve image quality. Education on the appropriate use of UEAs to improve quantitative measurements of LV size and function, to detect regional dysfunction at rest and during stress, and to detect LV cavity abnormalities (thrombus, masses, hypertrophic cardiomyopathies, etc.) are necessary & their value to patient care needs to be reinforced.
