In today’s current clinical environment, it is helpful to understand the challenges in integrating community health systems. Specifically, how to improve services such as Stress echocardiography Ultrasound Enhancing Agents (UEAS), perfusion, valvular/hemodynamic; in addition to other services of transesophageal, transthoracic, and peripheral vascular. In this webinar Dr. Culp will discuss his experience over the past 5 years creating a non-invasive quality program that leverages simple data entry to make informed operational decisions on budgetary and quality issues within the lab thus increasing overall community care.

  1. Describe the use of structured reporting as a tool for quality assurance with limited resources.
  2. Apply quality assurance processes to implement advanced imaging techniques within an echo laboratory.
  3. Describe the basic budgetary components of echo laboratory operations.

This program has been designed for physicians with an interest in cardiac imaging (including, but not limited to, cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiac, and vascular surgeons), sonographers, and other healthcare professionals involved in echocardiography.

This program has been submitted for approval of 0.75 hour of SDMS CME Credit Category AE by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS).
